HOME CARE &

OLDER ADULT SERVICES

Providing Compassionate Care for New Yorkers Since 1971

United Jewish Council of the East Side, Inc. is a non-profit coordinating and umbrella organization that provides a wide range of human services and community development programs in New York City, mostly through separate 501(c)(3) corporations.

Our mission focuses on the many older adults and members of marginalized communities in the Lower East Side of Manhattan who lack families or a support network to rely on, especially as they age.

For over 50 years, UJCES has been working to fill this gap by offering comprehensive services under one roof, including home care services, food assistance programs, social services, and older adult centers through our various dedicated entities.

They Deserve to Stay at Home

All of our programs are free or rely on suggested contributions. With your donation, you directly fund housing, meals, and social services so our older adults can age in place with dignity.

Did you know…?

We have a monthly newsletter where we share original articles for older adults and caregivers, upcoming events and workshops at our Older Adult Centers, updates on our services and programs, health care resources, information about government benefits, and more.
