Tai Chi For Arthritis with Ken

Tai Chi is a form of exercise that began as a Chinese tradition. It’s based in martial arts and involves slow movements and deep breaths. It has many physical and emotional benefits, like decreased anxiety and depression, and improvements in cognition.
Tai Chi for Arthritis helps people with arthritis to improve flexibility, reduce pain and stiffness, and gain more mobility. It improves balance, both mentally and physically, thus significantly reducing the rate of falls of older adults.
Additional benefits include greater relaxation, vitality, better posture, and increased muscular coordination. It may also help you manage symptoms of some chronic diseases, such as fibromyalgia or COPD.

In this class, all you will need is paper and a drawing utensil. If you have other art materials, you are free to bring them. The class will begin with getting to know each other, and a few basics on drawing. Then Jodie will dive into lessons on creativity and how to make fun drawings that express your ideas, who you are, or what you would like to accomplish. Classes will have live demos, slide shows, group critiques as well as one on one guidance and discussions.
