UJCES

United Jewish Council of the East Side is a non-profit organization based in New York.

For 50 years, we have provided a wide range of human services and implemented community development programs on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Home Care

UJCES Home Care is open and serving clients with non-medical assistance. The agency is fully licensed by the New York State Department of Health (DOH). We have implemented DOH rules for monitoring client health and supervise aides on infection prevention strategies.

Food Assistance

UJCES maintains kosher food pantry distribution centers at its two Senior Centers.

Available to everyone in the community.

Social Services

We help families and individuals with government benefits, housing, employment, and legal issues.

Services are available in English, Russian, Spanish, and Chinese.

Older Adult Centers

We have two locations where seniors can enjoy all kinds of physical and recreational activities for free; the UJCES Adult Lunch Club and the UJCES Lillian Wald Senior Center.
