During all hours of operation, there is a Social worker and two Case managers on-site to assist with recertifications, SCRIE/DRE, entitlements, questions about Medicare/Medicaid, and any issues. All walk-ins are welcome!

Daily classes include painting, dance, wellness groups, creative art therapy, music appreciation, exercise classes, and more interesting activities!

 

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers can join UJCES for a one-time shift (approximately four hours), and have the option to discuss additional or regular shifts with the Manager of Volunteer Services.

Our volunteer opportunities are offered on weekdays.

NORC Program Greeter Volunteer

Volunteers support staff by proactively greeting and providing information. Welcome residents, inform them about programs and services, and assist with registration. Bilingual fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, and/or Cantonese is helpful but not required.

Recommended shift options are 9:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. offered Monday through Thursday, or 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Fridays. Other shifts may be discussed. Volunteers may serve one-time or ongoing shifts (strongly recommended).

 

Written Translation Volunteer - Remote

Volunteers support UJC with translating newsletters, flyers, and other materials into Chinese or Spanish. Bilingual written fluency in one of these languages is required. This is a remote volunteer position.

Volunteers will assist monthly, and additionally as needed, with a flexible schedule. Ongoing commitment is strongly encouraged. Remote volunteers should have access to email and a device with internet access.
