Michael Rosenberg is an artist based in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, NYC.
When did you start painting?
I have been drawing or painting since I was a child.
What is your favorite museum?
I enjoy the Met for its wide variety of exhibits.
You kindly allowed us to use one of your pieces for our calendar. Can you tell me about the inspiration behind this piece?
Candles came about after seeing the wax remains left on a Hanukkah menorah that did not burn evenly. The pair were done simultaneously.
What is your favorite spot in NYC?
For me there are a large number of favorite spots, New York is a vibrant ever-changing place for an artist.
